SLEC DESIGN

Hello viewer, reader, potential mentor, friend, or my number one supporter — hi Mom.

Welcome to the SLEC Design portfolio. Here you’ll find a curated selection of my art and design work. Have a wander through the pages to explore my creative adventures and professional practice.

Let me formally introduce myself — hi, I’m Sophia Lecatsas. I’m a graphic designer, artist, marketing professional, sibling, daughter, travel enthusiast, and professional over-thinker with a love for all things creative.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) from Deakin University in Melbourne. Since graduating, I’ve been finding new ways to put my creativity and skill set into practice. But before we jump into my many aspirations, here’s a little context about me.

I grew up between different countries and cultures, which has shaped how I see the world and approach design. I spent much of my childhood in the Philippines, surrounded by travel, new perspectives, and a lot of curiosity (plus a few useful phrases — “Si Sophia ay maganda,” if you know, you know).

After many years abroad, I returned to Australia, where I completed high school and university. Did i mention I’m also fully Greek — so yes, a bit of a world alien. This upbringing has given me an open mind, an ability to adapt easily, and a natural curiosity about people, culture, and creative possibilities.

Through SLEC Design, I work as a communication designer and a problem-solver. With my dual nature, I’m also an artist, and creator at heart. I’ve worked independently with clients, building connections and growing my place in the design industry along the way. I’m always exploring new mediums, playing with concepts, and letting curiosity guide how I communicate visually.

I thrive in collaborative studio environments, learning from mentors, bouncing ideas around with like-minded creatives (and probably too many coffees). I’m always open to new challenges and opportunities to add a little playfulness to design.

Have a wander through my work — and thanks for stopping by ✨
